Saiga is back yet again with his newest EP called “Modern Man” This is a 7 song EP that helps him continue his progress of being a pom album master. With this, he has eclipsed the 25 album mark, and it is his 7th pom 2 album. Let’s see how well this album relates to the other ones of this great artists career.

The False Correct is the opening song for Saiga. He starts things off right with a short power song that only lasts 1:10, and uses a calming guitar effect using fade in’s and fade out’s to start off the song. Except for some rare interesting choices for a lead guitar, considering what the rest of the band is doing, this is a very strong opening piece and very worthy of a 8/10

Powerbroker is yet another shorter song that only lasts 1:16. It features more of an original style of song in comparison to the previous song. It is very straight forward and gives you the heavier type of music that you expect. It also features a lot of guitar and bass slides throughout the song. Very solid song, but doesn’t truly feel complete with the ending given 7/10

Children Are the Ammunition is the song that really brings out a lighter feel for a song that wasn’t felt in previous songs. It is also fairly short, only lasting 1:23. This is my second favorite song on this album, but sometimes its feels like beat and the guitars aren’t ways on the same wavelength. It also doesn’t feel complete with the end it currently has. 9/10

Don’t Trust People in Suits are the longest song in the album, only reaching a length of 1:33. This song has the lighter feel that the previous song has, but is pulled off much better in this reviewers mind. This song also has a problem though with not feeling complete with the current ending, but that is not enough to stop it from obtaining a 10/10

Not All Songs Are Hits is the second shortest song on the album, only reaching a length of 0:49. This song also uses the style that is shown in the first two songs, and is pulled off much better in every way in this song. The biggest problem with this one as well is that is really doesn’t feel complete in any way yet again. The ending that is given on this song is very quirky and not a good one at all in this reviewers mind. 8/10

Thai Haze an the Power Plants is an unexpected surprise on this album, that starts out with a heavy rock feel and goes into a ska-like feel. It is the shortest song on the album, only reaching a length of 0:45 I love the feel that the song gives you, and uses some dissonance in a very proper way. Again the problem is that the ending doesn’t really fell like an ending. 8/10

Nevermind the Bullets is the final song on this short EP, much like the other song it ends up being very short and has an ending that seems out of place among the rest of the song. It is a combination of the two styles that he uses throughout this album, and it comes out very well. 9/10

All in all this is a very good album if you are just showing off future projects, but as a hole this album only lasts 8:10. In some people’s opinions that is only 2 songs worth of an album. The endings are sudden and feel like they don’t belong there and the songs should keep going. This reviewer can only sit back and give this album a 10/20 or a 5/10

Poe’s words of wisdom: Like I just recently said in the final verdict, the songs don’t feel like they are truly complete due to their length.  As Agentohoolan gave this a 9/10, it is truly up to the eye of the beholder to what this album truly is.  In my mind it a bunch of little tidbits that could be continued and made into full length songs if you let the thoughts come to you.
